The Renaissance was a period that began in Italy around 1300 CE and lasted till 1600. It was a time of human "awakening" and the rebirth of ideas and knowledge from the ancient Greeks and Romans. It wasn't only a time of looking back, though. New inventions in the field of science and technology,
developments in various art forms and formation of new faith, beliefs
and practices in politics and religion during this period paved way for
drastic changes in the intellectual, social and cultural perceptions of
mankind.
Many new inventions were created during the Renaissance. Click here to read about them and watch some videos.
