Friday we will start the poetry readings.

You will be evaluated according to the following criteria (20 marks):

• Volume
• Pronunciation
• Posture and Eye Contact
• Enthusiasm/Appropriate expression
• Evidence of Practice

Choose a poem you like and that you think the class will like, too.
Illustrate it.
Include reasons why you like it.
Select at least one poetic device from the poem to explain to the class (eg. simile, metaphor, rhyme scheme, alliteration, personification, irony, etc.)

Practice by reading to yourself, your family, friends and classmates.
Practice more than 10 times to do a good job.
